Strengthening SME Leadership Through Better Cashflow Understanding

Strengthening SME Leadership Through Better Cashflow Understanding

We are proud to share that our Co-Founder, Alex Wong Wai Chun, was engaged as one of the facilitators for the “Business Cashflow for SMEs: Mastering the Numbers Behind SME Survival & Growth” training programme held on 25 September 2026, in collaboration with Credit Bureau Malaysia and Sunway Learning Hub.

The programme was specially designed for business owners, managers and key decision-makers without a finance or accounting background, helping them better understand the financial information that matters when managing and growing a business.

One of the key objectives of the session was to make finance practical, easy to understand and relevant to everyday business operations — without relying on complicated financial jargon.

Throughout the training, participants were guided on what to look at, where to find the relevant information, and how to interpret important financial and cashflow indicators within their own businesses.

The programme covered key areas such as:

  • Understanding the difference between profit and cashflow
  • Interpreting the three core financial reports: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement
  • Identifying potential cashflow leakages
  • Understanding important business and financial metrics
  • Evaluating financial considerations before extending credit to customers
  • Improving cashflow planning and decision-making

More importantly, the session aimed to help non-finance business leaders become more confident when reviewing their company’s numbers, enabling them to ask better questions, identify potential issues earlier and make more informed business decisions.

We are pleased to have the opportunity to contribute practical financial and business insights to the SME community and support business owners and managers in building stronger and more sustainable businesses.
